My name is Ellen Mc Coll, founder of Little Red House Pantry. I’m not just a business owner; I’m a survivor of human trafficking and 23 years of heroin addiction.
As I look back on my past, I think of the story of Rahab, the prostitute who was saved by a scarlet thread. Just as she was redeemed, so too have I been saved when I met Mama V on a street corner in 2019. She loved me until I had the courage to allow her to take me to her home.
I wanted my business to mirror this transformation, which is why the red line around our house symbolizes the blood of Jesus, a reminder that we are now safe under His protection. Where the color red once represented darkness, it now stands for redemption and reflects my journey from darkness to light, and my commitment to creating a better future for my son.
The Little Red House Pantry is more than just a place for baked goods… it’s the dream of a small, warm home where I bake with love and care. I use real, wholesome ingredients like butter, cream, and organic products to make authentic treats like rusks, oat cookies, fudge, and milk tarts. I also find pride in my custom made cakes.
This is how I want to raise my son with integrity, honesty, and a commitment to living a healthy life. Together, we are building something beautiful that reflects hope, redemption, and the love that makes a house a home.
